Renewable Energy Construction Services (RECS) has partnered with Zenman Energy, a Solar Non-Profit Research Organization, and the County of Fluvanna. Our mission is to build Solar Steam Power Plants that create electricity cheaper than any other form of power generation.
A Concentrated Solar Power Plant has several different aspects. The heat from the sun is concentrated with reflective mirrors, focusing the energy onto highly insulated steam pipes. The water inside the pipes is boiled and converted into pressurized steam. The pressurized steam is used to turn turbines which spin grid connected generators producing electricity. The remaining steam is converted back into liquid water and the cycle repeats.
